Hello there. Welcome back. This time I would like to share types of diabetes and how to prevent it. Diabetes is a kind of chronic disease which affects how our body turns food into energy. It also leads to high blood sugar levels and damage to the organs in the body. Well, there are three types of diabetes: type1, type2 and gestational diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes

It happens when our immune system destroys the cells in our pancreas that make insulin. It’s usually diagnosed in adults and children. At present, no one knows how to prevent it.

Type 2 diabetes

It develops mostly in adults and children because the cells in muscle, fat and the liver become resistant to insulin. Type 2 diabetes can be prevented with healthy lifestyles such as a healthy diet, physical exercises and maintaining ideal weight according to height

Gestational diabetes

It develops in pregnant women who have never had diabetes. If you have gestational diabetes, your baby could be at higher risk for health problems. It can be prevented with a healthy diet and avoiding food which contains high sugar levels.
