Magway Division Pakokku District Locals told the BBC that nearly 60 homes were set on fire on the evening of April 19 after troops stormed Puti village in Pauk Township. 

    According to locals, about 20 members of the military council from the Defense Equipment Factory in Pauk Township (PAS-22) set fire to the factory in Putee village, about 4 miles from the factory. 

    The troops entered Shwe Bo Kyun and Kyauk Gyi villages in Seik Phyu Township, adjacent to O Pauk Township, and arrested more than 10 youths from the two villages on the same day, according to locals. "As of today (April 20), we have not heard that the youths arrested when they entered Shwe Bo Island and Kyauk Gyi villages were released," he said. These villages are about 1 mile from PAS-22. 

    The arrests were made without any clashes with the local defense forces. They set it on fire. In the past, their trailers have been seized by the security forces, so it is possible that they will enter nearby villages to prevent this from happening again, ”said a local. Locals told the BBC that the junta had been raiding villages south of Pauk since April 7, following the seizure of KPA-22 trailers by local defense forces. Currently, (from April 7 to 19) 20 villages have been set on fire in Pakokku and Seik Phyu townships, according to the National Unity Government (NUG) ATV PVTV. 

    The military council has not yet commented on the incidents in Pauk Township.
